Art

Working on this recording with my brother and friends has taught me these things,

1. art is (brutally) revealing: when you are singing into a microphone or playing an instrument, your voice tells the truth- what you are feeling- fo'real- I suppose that this is why people are into art

It has taken me a moment (or a few days...) to acknowledge this and seek comfort in that gritty expression around new faces- not truly there yet but fighting for it

2.you have to make all the wrong turns, so that you know where not to go, to get to the right places- literally (as in driving)and metaphorically

3. Got to let God walk in the door- there is definitely something bigger at work here.
